If a foreigner owns a property in Turkey, he/she gets residence permit which is renewed every year if he/she keeps the ownership.

The Tapu (Title Deed)� is an�official registry document in Turkey. It proves that you have ownership rights over the property.�This ownership document is your registry at Land Registry and Cadastre Directorate.

The appraisal report is a report showing the real price of a property that you are buying or selling. When one buys a property, Land Registry and Cadastre requests appraisal report verified by CMB (SPK in Turkish) before the title deed transfer to secure the deal against fraud. This process takes 3 - 6 days.

Yes and No. There are restrictions to sell the property to foreign companies. If you invest in a factory or industrial production, your foreign company may own. If you only want to buy and sell a property, foreign companies are not allowed. Governor Committee of the province will decide if a company might own property or not.

In order to open a bank account, firstly you need to go to a Tax office with your passport and get a Tax number. After that you need to provide; 1- a statement showing your current address (it could be an electricity or gas bill, or a statement from your bank in your country), 2- your passport and 3- your tax number�to the Turkish bank you want to open an account in.

Foreign visitors can stay in Turkey for maximum 90 days with Tourist visa. After you hold the title deed, this gives you automatically one year residency permit. You can do the application online through Foreigners Police website.
